Sudeley Castle is widely recognized as one of the most romantic and beautiful castles in England, surrounded by a 1,200-acre estate.

Sudeley is the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds – Katherine Parr, the last of Henry VIII’s six wives. Today visitors can explore the beautifully restored 15th-century church where she lies entombed.

Please note that admission tickets for the Party at the Castle do not include admission to Sudeley Castle. Castle tickets would need to be purchased separately via www.sudeleycastle.co.uk

Grippers Annual Walk 13th October 2019

Meet at The Crown of Crucis GL7 5RS at 10:30 to start the walk at 11:00.

Ampney Crucis lies 2 miles east of Cirencester. The Crown is easy to find at the crossroads on the A417. There is a huge choice of walks along  paths, tracks and lanes in this quiet and beautiful corner of the Cotswolds. The terrain is fairly level and the actual walk on the day will be selected to take account of the weather and the abilities and inclinations of the walkers. It will probably be around 3-4 miles in length. As always, everyone is welcome, together with children of any age and dogs.
