Grippers exists to give financial help to individuals who are recovering from psychosis to enable them to participate in educational and Outward-bound projects, sports and art activities and many recreational activities; thereby encouraging confidence and eventual return to normal life.

Early detection of psychosis will often lead to a more satisfactory recovery. Grippers is involved in projects to raise awareness and understanding of psychotic illness, both for the General Public and amongst health professionals who work in other areas of Medicine.
